Hurby Miller

Hurby Miller, age 90 of West Jefferson, died Monday, December 27, 2021 at Margate Health and Rehab Center.Mr. Miller was born July 29, 1931 in Wilkes County to the late Jonas and Margaret Shepherd Miller.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Della Faye Taylor Miller, brothers, Gilbert and Buster Miller and sisters, Pansy Jones, Retha Privette, Mae Parsons and Rebecca Blevins. Hurby enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales and collecting angel figurines.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. Lloyd Day.  Burial will follow in Stephens Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Miller is survived by, sons, Richard Miller of Boone, Randy Miller and wife Debbie and Rodney Miller all of West Jefferson, daughters, Judy Hatley of Salisbury and Sandra Dillard and husband Clarence of West Jefferson, brother, Grant Miller of Charlotte and sister, Ruth Madley of High Point. 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren  and several nieces and nephews also survive.
