Kenneth Cecil Johnson “Kenny”

Kenneth Cecil Johnson, better known as Kenny, age 40 of Lansing, passed away, Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center.  Kenny was born August 5, 1982 in VA to Paul and Joyce Roberts Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his father and aunt, Cecil Rose.  He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, playing video games, hiking and being outdoors.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends 5:00-6:00 pm, one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Denise Eller Johnson, son, Ethan Johnson of TN, daughter, Portia Johnson of TN, his mother, Joyce Johnson of Lansing, brothers, Ward Johnson (Anja) of Houston, TX, Paul Johnson (Dawn) of Nashville, TN, Quinton Gladden (Serina)  and Dwayne Johnson of VA and John Johnson (Christina) of Tampa, FL, sister, Jessica Johnson of Lansing, mother and father-in-law, Karen and Lynville Eller of Lansing and best friends, Mike and Christy Bennett of Jefferson.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the family c/o Badger Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., West Jefferson, NC  28694.
