Pauline Phipps Cooper, affectionately known as Polly, passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 91. Polly was born on November 10, 1932, in the picturesque landscapes of Ashe County, North Carolina, where she lived a life filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her parents Booker and Gladys Spencer Phipps, as well as her husband, Joseph Harold Cooper, son, Jackie Cooper and wife Geneva and several siblings.
Polly will be remembered for her exceptional cooking skills, which brought comfort and delight to countless individuals who were fortunate enough to taste her creations. As a member of the Beaver Creek Christian Church, Polly's faith was the cornerstone of her life.
Above all else, Polly cherished her role as a grandmother. She shared a special bond with her grandson, creating cherished memories through the trips they took together. Polly's love for her family knew no bounds, and her presence brought light and joy to their lives each and every day. In her 91 years, Polly touched the lives of many with her kindness and she will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her grandson, Baron Cooper and wife Vikki, great-granddaughter, Olivia Cooper, step-granddaughter, Christina Calhoun McKiddy, step-great-grandchildren, Jacob McKiddy, Noah McKiddy and Elliah McKiddy, step-great-great-grandchild, Benjamin McKiddy as well as one sister, Mary Osborne of TN.
Services for Mrs. Cooper will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ashe Family Care Home.
