Ruth (Osborne) Barker

Ruth Osborne Barker, age 80 of West Jefferson, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mrs. Barker was born March 28, 1940 in Ashe County to the late James and Leler Eastridge Osborne.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett Orville Barker.  She attended Sugar Tree Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Barker-Eller-McNeill Cemetery by Rev. Jim Greer and Rev. Dustin Farmer.

Mrs. Barker is survived by, sons, Steve Barker and Roger Barker both of West Jefferson and Hank Barker of Wilkesboro, daughters, Hazel Burgess of Salisbury and Margie Burgess of Jefferson. 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
