Virginia Ann (West) Bower

Virginia Ann West Bower passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1st, 2023 at High Point Medical Center. She was born on March 30, 1948 in Ashe County, NC to the late George Franklin West and Sarah Edna Odell Cearley.

Mrs. Bower is survived by her son, Jason Bower (Waynette) of Lenoir, brother, Randall West (Lib) of Jefferson, grandson, Jeremy Russell Bower of West Jefferson, and niece Pam Barlow of Jefferson, one great-niece and one great-nephew also survive.

Virginia Ann West Bower was a true Proverbs 31 Woman; she devoted her life to friends, family, and the Lord. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, word searches, birdwatching, and working in her yard. When she wasn’t out looking for antiques she was enjoying the company of her two cats. Family and friends will also remember how much she loved Mountain Dew.  Mrs. Bower was also a member of Healing Springs Baptist Church in Crumpler, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Healing Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Kevin Jones. Burial will follow in Healing Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends at the home of Randall West, Old Hwy. 16, Jefferson, NC.
