Anna (Sexton) Adams

Anna Sexton Adams, better known as Annie, age 96 of Lansing, died on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Adams was born on July 20, 1923 in Ashe County to William Hamilton Sexton and Rebecca Ham Sexton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of more than 50 years, Donald Adams; brothers, Wiley Sexton and Bluford Sexton; and sisters, Ethel Richardson, Alice Black, and Bertie Testerman.

Mrs. Adams was a member of Silas Creek Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully as long as her health allowed. She retired from Sprague Electric after 30 years of service.

Mrs. Adams is survived by:  one son, Everett Adams and wife Sandy of Lansing; two grandchildren, Karen Adams and Keith Adams; one step-grandson, Brady Brown and wife Kelly; two great-grandchildren, Tulsa Howell and Jolie Tuttle; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Speaker Ward Sexton.

The family will have a public memorial service at a later date.
