Annie Lorene (Blevins) Lambert "Granny"

Annie Lorene Blevins Lambert, better known as “Granny” age 96 of Crumpler, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Margate Health & Rehab.  Mrs. Lambert was born February 14, 1927 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Harley and Naomi Bare Blevins.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charley Lambert and sons, Herschel and Tommy Lambert.  She was a loving mother who adored her children and grandchildren.  She loved flowers and especially liked working in her rose garden.  Mrs. Lambert was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lambert is survived by, her son, Michael Lambert (Rita) of Fleetwood, daughters, Nancy Roten (Jerry) of Mocksville and Grace Brown (Johnnie) of Crumpler, grandchildren, Erica Wiles, Chad Roten, Shelia Bristle, Cherie Baldwin, Michael Lambert, Tommy Lambert, Nikki Lewis and Alex Lambert. 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Lambert embraced life with an unparalleled warmth and compassion. Her nurturing spirit was most evident in her role as a mother. She poured her heart and soul into raising her children, showering them with unconditional love, support, and guidance. Her love for flowers knew no bounds, and she poured her passion into creating a breathtaking rose garden that became her legacy. More intimately known as, “ Granny ” her kindness and compassion made her a beloved figure in her church and community.  She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church for many years.  She will forever remain in the hearts of her family and loved ones, her memory intertwined with the petals of the roses she so adored.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 10, 2023 at Badger Funeral Home by Rev. Lonnie Jones.  Burial will follow in the West Jefferson Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
