Ardeen Rachel Barr Rhodes, a kind and gentle soul whose quiet demeanor and presence graced this world for over 100 years. Ardeen passed away at her home on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
Ardeen was born on November 26, 1923, in Ashe County, NC, to the late Willie C. and Dottie Howell Barr. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Junior Barr and Raymond Cecil Barr; sister, Peggy Miller and her husband, Charlie Lee Rhodes.
Mrs. Rhodes is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services to honor Ardeen's life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel and will be laid to rest beside her husband in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Rhodes will lie in state from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
The legacy of Ardeen's memory will continue to echo through the lives she touched – a legacy that will remain eternally engraved in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
