Arnold Miller

Mr. Arnold Miller, age 74 of West Jefferson, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the Ashe Living Center. Mr. Miller was born March 1, 1930 in Ashe County to the late James and Lori Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Jessie Howell Miller,a son; Luther Glen Miller, a sister; Arlene Stansberry and an infant brother; Bobby Miller. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jack Miller and Rev. Tommy Adams will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, April 29th prior to the funeral service at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 30th in the Powers Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated of memorial may be made to the family c/o Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, PO Box 148, Jefferson, NC 28640.

Son: James Miller and wife Holly of West Jefferson

Daughters: Jean Baldwin and husband Greg of West Jefferson and Elizabeth Medley of Jefferson

Brothers: Abe and Pete Miller of Old Fields, Austin Miller of Lansing, Guy and Tom Miller of Crumpler and Junior Miller of Delaware.

Sisters: Betty Kerr of the Buffalo Community and Edith Johnson of Old Fields

Grandchildren: Dolores, Dustin and Kelsie

Great-grandchildren: Caroline and Isaiah
