Arvie Lee Lynch, a devoted minister of the Lord for over 45 years, of Lansing, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 83 years old. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love for the outdoors, and an unwavering dedication to his family.
Born on April 18, 1940 in Ashe County, North Carolina, to the late Doran and Mae Welch Lynch, Arvie was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Gregory Allen Osborne, two sisters, Eva Mae Rushing and Mary Sue Lynch as well as one brother, Warner Lynch.
Mr. Lynch will be remembered for his faithful and dedicated service to the Lord. His ministry touched the lives of countless individuals. He also possessed a passion for working with cattle and livestock. Whether he was in the fields with his cattle, working in the garden or hunting alongside his loyal beagles, Arvie found solace and joy in the beauty of nature. Above all, Arvie cherished his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife, Pauline Lynch, three daughters, Jackie Marie Osborne (Jim) of Creston, Bobbie Testerman (Greg) of Grassy Creek, Tammy Gardner (Scott) of Lansing, one son, Alan Lynch (Kathy) of Lansing, four brothers, Jack Lynch, Ken Lynch, Mack Lynch and Bill Lynch, three sisters, Mildred Burnside, Nancy Nettles and Virginia White, eight grandchildren, Tiffany Grubb, Kristy Johnson, Jamie Osborne, Brad Bare, Ethan Hartsoe, Ben Hartsoe, Josh Gardner and Jake Gardner, 12 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Minister David Lyalls and Minister Jake Testerman. Burial will follow in the Welch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm one hour prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted.
