Barbara (Bare) Staley

Barbara Bare Staley, age 85 of Crumpler, died Friday, April 2, 2021 at Ashe Assisted Living.  Barbara was born June 1, 1935 in Ashe County to the late Sam and Mary Poe Bare.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by brothers, Bernard and Dean Bare, son, Keenan Staley and grandson, Keenan Brandon Staley. She was a member of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church.  Barbara worked at Shatley Springs Jewelry.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Cory Halsey and Rev. Doug Halsey.  Burial will follow in West Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service.

Mrs. Staley is survived by her son, Frank Staley and wife Janice of Colorado, grandsons, Jonathan Staley and wife Gina, David Staley and wife Katie and Murphy Godwin.  Four great-grandchildren also survive.
