Ben was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on November 10, 1985 and will forever remain the beloved son of Michelle and Bill and cherished little brother of Jason and Laura.
Ben was a light to all that knew him, and that light was extinguished on January 25, 2024 at the age of 38. Ben moved to North Carolina in 1989 with his parents, brother and sister. He attended Northwest Cabarrus High School in Concord, North Carolina, and resided in Cabarrus County until his death. Ben was a vibrant, sincere, adventurous, pleasant, humble, welcoming and thoughtful soul. Ben loved animals and cherished his faithful dog Pluto. He was very skilled in archery.
Ben was preceded in death by his much beloved grandparents, Helen and Bill McComb of Beaver, PA. and Sam McKinney of St. Cloud, Florida.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Michelle McComb Todd, NC, his brother Jason (Keegan) McComb, Charlotte NC and sister Laura (EJ) Alston, Wake Forest, NC, A niece and nephew Lana and Jack Alston. His Grandmother Lucy McKinney, FLA, Aunt and Uncle, Sue (Kerby) Tyger and Eileen (Greg) Adams, Ohio, Karen (Bill) Slusarczyk, NC, Denise (Rick) Henderson, FLA, Sam (Missy) McKinney, (PA), John (Leslie) McKinney, FLA, Aunt Marilyn (Jack), MO, and many cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Beaver Creek Christian Church at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024 by Rev. Loren Lung. Refreshments will be served for family and friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beaver Creek Christian Church in care of Mike Grubb; 789 Northridge Drive, Boone, NC 28607.
