Benjamin Zachariah Neal

Benjamin Zachariah Neal, age 46 of Jefferson was born February 6, 1977 in Amberg, Germany to John Richard Neal and Kathy Victoria Neal.  He leaves behind a legacy of adventure, creativity, and cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ben was a true lover of the outdoors. His adventurous spirit led him to explore through various activities he held dear. He was an avid four-wheeler and dirt biker, who reveled in the thrill of off-road adventures. Ben could often be found panning for gold, a hobby that connected him to the beauty and history of the natural world. He also had a deep passion for biking and hiking, finding solace and inspiration in the great outdoors. His love for fishing also took him to serene lakes and rivers.

In addition to his adventurous pursuits, Ben was known for his interest in making moonshine. He also had an affinity for scary movies and Halloween was his absolute favorite holiday. Ben was also a talented artist, he loved and appreciated tattoos. Family was very important to Ben. One of his closest companions was his beloved dog, Bailey, who brought him endless joy and love.

Ben's passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him. He was a man of indomitable spirit, a free soul who lived life to the fullest and shared his passions with others.

Mr. Neal is survived by two daughters, Ivy Nicole Neal and Cricket Tyler Neal, his parents, John Richard Neal and Kathy Victoria Neal, and brothers, John Glen Neal and Jack Edward Neal.  Several nieces and one nephew also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023 at Mt. Paddy Church by Rev. Tim Roten.  Burial will follow in the Jefferson Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am prior to the service at the church.
