Beulah Cordelia (Church) Blevins

Beulah Cordelia Church Blevins, age 102 of Lansing died on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Blevins was born December 12, 1914 in Ashe County, NC to James and Effie Brooks Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Clifford Blevins, infant son, James Ivan Blevins, brothers, Clifford Church, Reeves Church, Vernie Church and sister, Mary Hurley. Mrs. Blevins was a member of Shelter Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, playing Yatzee and games, gardening, canning, and caring for her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Rex Hall and Rev. Michael McElhaney. Burial will follow in the Scott-Blevins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by:  Sons, Joe Riley Blevins and Jack Blevins, both of Crumpler; Daughters, Dorothy Lyalls, Wanda Blevins, and Marcella Doby, all of Lansing; Brother, Richard Church of Wilkesboro. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
