Beulah Jean (Goodman) Jones

Beulah Jean Goodman Jones, age 81 of West Jefferson died Monday, October 1, 2018 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Jones was born April 8, 1937 in Ashe County to the late Joseph and Alma Kimberlin Goodman.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wade Jones, son, Phillip Hartzog, sisters, Ola Mae Greer, Corena Baldwin, brothers, Kermit, Calvin and Willie Goodman.

Mrs. Jones loved God and her family.  She loved music, dancing and enjoyed visiting churches. She was a huge Elvis fan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lawrence Goodman. Burial will follow in the Goodman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 -2 PM Friday prior to the service.

Mrs. Jones is survived by, son, Rick Hartzog, daughter, Debbie Osborne, daughter, Diane Shumate, son, Michael Hartzog, son, David Hartzog, grandchildren, Steve Hartzog, Tim Hartzog, Brandon Hartzog, Matthew Hartzog, Brandon Osborne, Daniel Osborne, Emily Hartzog, Jason Hartzog, Hannah Hartzog, Tara Hartzog, Gary Shumate, Mark Shumate and Amber Williams, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
