Billie Sexton Cox age 80 of Winston Salem, NC died on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Cox was born on September 20, 1934 in Grayson County, VA to Robert Earl and Eva Mae Hall Sexton. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Barry William Cox, and a sister, Nanny Lou Cox. She was a member of Warrensville United Methodist Church. Billie was a volunteer at Ashe Memorial Hospital and would also stay with and care for people in their homes.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Speaker David VanHoy.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Cox is survived by: Son, Emmett (Priscilla) Cox of Crumpler, Son, Jackie (Kathy) Cox of Kernersville, Daughter, Ann (Donnie) James of Winston Salem, NC, Daughter, Peggy Cox of Chapel Hill, Daughter, Kathy (Stan) Wilde of Kernersville, Daughter, Nancy (Danny) Howell of Jefferson, Special Friend, Bill Tuttle, Sister, Doris Henderson of Mouth of Wilson, VA, Sister, Charlsie Rinehart of Mouth of Wilson, VA, Sister, Shelba Colvard of Crumpler, Sister, Mary Jane Hartzog of Jefferson; also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
