Billie Maxine (Elliott) Johnson

Billie Maxine Elliott Johnson, age 96 of West Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Johnson was born on December 14, 1926 in Ashe County to Frank and Bernice Parsons Elliott. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Conley Paul Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson liked crafting and art, gardening, cooking, reading her Bible and singing hymns. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by:  one son, Gary Elliott of Galax, VA; five daughters, Peggy Atwood (Johnny) of Boone, Patsy Greene (Jerry) of Avery County, Linda Davis of Laurel Springs, Cinda Galgano (Mike Dillon) of Boone, and Angela Ham (Gerry) of Lansing; also surviving are 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private. Officiating will be Brother Jeff Greene and Brother Jerry Greene. Burial will be in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family respectfully requests no food please. Flowers will be accepted.
