Bobbie Lee (Maye) Lewis

Bobbie Lee Maye Lewis age 88 of West Jefferson passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Lewis was born in Ashe County on June 10, 1935 to the late William Estel and Ethel Eldreth May. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband, Lee "Pete" Lewis and all her siblings. In her spare time she enjoyed to crochet and read. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by: two daughters, Joy Lewis and Melanie Lewis both of West Jefferson, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Lewis will lie in state from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Tuesday at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. The family will not be present.

A private graveside service will be held in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Tommy Dollar.
