Carl Blackburn

Mr. Carl Marshall Blackburn, age 87, of Crumpler, NC formerly of Hartford County, MD, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2003, 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Bill Ballou and Rev. David Blackburn. Interment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson.

Mr. Blackburn was born May 11, 1915 in Alleghany County, NC to Rev. ?Bill? William and Cory Plummer Blackburn. He was a retired carpenter form the Hartford County Board of Education.

Betty Jean Hardy of BelAir, MD

One son ? Reeves Blackburn of Galax, VA

Two brothers ? Rev. Kyle Blackburn of Darlington, MD
Nick Blackburn of Crumpler, NC

Eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.
