Carl E. Blevins

Carl E. Blevins age 79 of Crumpler passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his home. Mr. Blevins was born on Thursday, March 16, 1939 in Ashe County, NC to the late, Harley and Oma Bare Blevins, he was also preceded in death by sisters, Louise Harris, Pauline Adolph and Goldie Speaks, as well as three brothers, Wayne Blevins, Arl Blevins and Willard Blevins.  Mr. Blevins was a member of Ashe Masonic Lodge #594.  He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Thailand as an engineer.  Carl enjoyed bowling, fishing and collecting antiques.  In his spare time he also took pleasure in reading, he especially liked old western novels.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Lewis Miller Cemetery with military and masonic rites.

Mr. Blevins is survived by: his wife Rita Blevins, two sons, Jonathan Blevins and Edward Zane Blevins both of Jefferson, and daughter, April Michelle Blevins of Creston.  One sister, Loraine Lambert of Crumpler, grandson, David Carl Blevins of Jefferson and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be accepted however, the family respectfully request no food please.
