Carolyn Sue Eldreth, age 59, of Lansing, left this world on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Duke University Medical Center. Carolyn was born on December 13, 1964 to the late Junior Ray and Julia Elizabeth Treadway Eldreth. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew, Colton Ray Eldreth and a sister, Kathy Eldreth Miller.
She was a devoted member of the Church of God at Warrensville, where her faith illuminated her life and guided her actions. Carolyn's journey was marked by selflessness and humility, traits that endeared her to all who knew her. Though she did not have children of her own, she embraced the role of a mother to many, offering care, guidance, and love without reservation.
Bird watching brought Carolyn joy and solace, connecting her to the beauty of the natural world and providing moments of tranquility amidst life's hustle and bustle. She found immense fulfillment in traveling with her family, cherishing the shared experiences and the bonds strengthened along the way. Carolyn's home was often the heart of family gatherings, where her warmth and hospitality created cherished memories for all who gathered under her roof.
For Carolyn, time held greater value than any material possession, emphasizing the importance of moments shared with loved ones over monetary wealth. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Miss. Eldreth is survived by: three brothers: Jerry Eldreth and Tommy Eldreth both of Virginia and Danny Eldreth and wife Ronda Rae of Lansing; also surviving are nieces and nephews, David Eldreth, Cristy Houck, Courtney Kingsley and Daniel Miller, great nieces and great nephews, Montanna Hamm, Denton Houck, Natalie Eldreth, Dixie Miller, Mia Miller and Colton Miller.
Though Carolyn has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to live on in the lives she touched, the lessons she imparted, and the love she shared. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
