Carolyn Ann McMillan Kilby was a remarkable woman who lived a fulfilling life. Born on Wednesday September 12, 1951 to the late Leroy McMillan and Elsie Grace Elliott McMillan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Bill McMillan.
Professionally, Carolyn had a diverse career. She worked with dedication at Hanes Knit Products until its closing. Later, she joined Leviton Manufacturing, where she continued to work for 15 years.
Beyond her professional life, Carolyn was a devout member of Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church, where her faith played a central role in her life. She had a passion for music and was an active member of her church choir.
In her leisure time, Carolyn indulged in hobbies: cross-stitching and cooking. Cross-stitching provided her with a creative outlet and allowed her to craft beautiful works of art. Meanwhile, her culinary expertise was renowned among family and friends. She collected cookbooks from different cultures, continuously expanding her culinary knowledge and trying out new recipes.
Mrs. Kilby is survived by: one son, Kevin Kilby and wife Ashley of Westfield, one sister, Helen Darnell and husband Rex of Warrensville and one granddaughter, Maggie Kilby of Westfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
