Mrs. Miller was born on October 19, 1943, in Ashe County, North Carolina, to the late Harrison David “Hack” and Bertha Belle Poe Pennington. In her cherished moments, she found solace casting lines along the North Fork of the New River, pursuing the elusive trout with a passion that mirrored the depth of her spirit.
