Carris Roe Church, age 69 of Fleetwood, died Friday, February 22, 2019 at his home. Mr. Church was born December 29, 1949 in Watauga County to the late William and Blanche Cheek Church. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sisters, Margie Warrell and Genna Gay Wilcox. Carris enjoyed wheeling and dealing. He loved to trade on anything, horses, motorcycles and cigars. He also enjoyed traveling and seeing the country.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 25, 2019 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Zack Church and Rev. Jeff Severt. Burial will follow in the Gap Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM Sunday, February 24th at Badger Funeral Home.
Mr. Church is survived by, brothers, William Church of Trinity, Kendrick Church of Thomasville, Wendell Church of Fleetwood and Royce Church of West Jefferson, sisters, Myrtle Church and Joyce Sechrest both of Winston Salem & Janice Kimbro of Fleetwood, 18 nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Medi Home Hospice, PO Box 421, Jefferson, NC 28640.
