Carrol Dean Hall

Carrol Dean Hall, better known as Dean, age 77 of Jefferson passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Watauga Medical Center.

Mr. Hall was born on January 22, 1947 in Ashe County to John T. Hall and Maudie Allen Gilley Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Hall is survived by: his wife, Joann Tedder Hall; son, Gregory D. Hall (Gina) of Wilkesboro; daughter, Cynthia A. Hall (fiance, Matthew Testerman) of Whitetop, Virginia; stepson, Robert Hurley (Carissa) of West Jefferson; stepdaughter, Pamela Miller of Pennsylvania; also surviving are ten grandchildren, Jeffery Widener of West Jefferson, Kelly Widener of Creston, Landon Boggs of Ashe County, Noah Hall and Cameron Hall, both of Wilkesboro, Blake Hurley of Jefferson, Tiffany Miller of Jefferson, Georgia Hurley of Jefferson, Hannah Miller and Johanna Miller, both of North Wilkesboro; three great-grandsons, Matthew Widener, Hank Boggs, and Dawson Boggs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Tim Jones and Rev. Donnie Shumate. Burial will follow in the Clint Gilley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 prior to the funeral service at Ashelawn.
