Charles Stephen "Steve" Burchette

Charles Stephen (Steve) Burchette, age 67, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his home in Marion.

Steve was born in Jefferson, NC, to the late Grover Franklin Burchette and Myrtle Kathleen Roland Burchette. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Daniel Burchette, and his brother-in-law, Terry Mahaffey. Steve graduated from Wilkes Community College with a degree in Industrial Arts. He spent most of his career in manufacturing and was skilled at building just about anything. Steve had a love for carpentry, music, football, racing, and his Challenger. He was also known for his kindness toward animals.

He is survived by his wife, Linda White Burchette; siblings, Lynda Burchette, Carl Burchette, Jeff Burchette, Mark Burchette, and Louise Stout; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion, with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
