Charles Lincoln Ellis Sr.

Charles Lincoln Ellis Sr., age 88 of West Jefferson passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Ellis was born May 14, 1934 in Ashe County to the late James and Rosie Stike Ellis.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Annice Harless Ellis, siblings, Blanche, Ola, Tom and Ray.  Mr. Ellis enjoyed spending time with his family, sitting on the porch watching the river and listening to bluegrass music.  He was a hard worker and was always checking on things at the farm.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 29, 2022 at the Ellis Family Cemetery by Rev. Ken Morris and Rev. Tommy Dollar.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, August 28th at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Ellis is survived by, three sons, Charles Ellis Jr., and wife Teresa, James Ellis and wife Sonia and David Ellis and wife Debbie all of West Jefferson, sister, Gracie Miesen and husband John of Texas,  grandchildren, Sandra Faircloth and husband Wesley and Nathan Ellis, great-grandchildren, Jacob Ellis and Ava Faircloth and step-great-grandchild, Cole Faircloth. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
