Cline Joseph Osborne

Cline Joseph Osborne, at 94 years old, was called home to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Lou Ashley Osborne, daughter Carolyn Ann Osborne, his parents Arlie and Hettie Osborne, sister Mary Belle Strange, brothers Paul (Mary Nell) Osborne, David (Lucille) Osborne, Riley Osborne.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Deborah Kimball-Grzegorczyk, son-in-law Frederick Grzegorczyk, his three grandsons Caleb Kimball, Joshua Grzegorczyk, Bryan Grzegorczyk, sister Pam Neaves, brothers Raymond (Pauline) Osborne, Tommy (Martha) Osborne, sister-in-law Mary Ruth Osborne, and numerous nephews and nieces and a special friend Sandy Sawyer who was like a daughter to him.

Cline served in the Army right after World War II as a bulldozer operator to help rebuild Germany. He worked for Cannon Mills for over 40 years as an over-hauler/fixer. He was a member of Rodgers Park Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC. He really enjoyed the senior citizen get togethers especially the fun games they played.

Cline really enjoyed spending time with his family and having picnics in his field. Loved by everyone who knew him, Cline really enjoyed talking to everyone. He never met a stranger. He loved all his neighbors, especially close to Mitch and Rhonda Canupp who has been his neighbor for over 49 years. He really loved mowing. He would mow his yard and any neighbors yard that was too high. He loved all his neighbors in the neighborhood. He would get on his white golf cart and ride around talking to any of them that were out in the yards. Some of the neighbors called him the mayor of the neighborhood.

Cline worked from sun up to sun down. He loved working in his garden and had a beautiful one each year. He enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with his family and friends giving them tomatoes and cucumbers and whatever he grew. He kept a calendar with all his families birthdays and made sure each year he called them and wished them a happy birthday.

Funeral Services to honor Cline’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by P astor Joel Ervin and Pastor Mitch Canupp. Entombment will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer.
