Connie Ann Stuart

Connie Ann Stuart, known for her gentle spirit and warm, peacefully passed away on August 12 2024, at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, NC. She was born on June 3, 1956, in Jefferson, NC, to the late Delmer and Dell Adams Stuart. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Eva Jean Baldwin and Betty Sue Redmond and brothers, Kermit Stuart and Mic Stuart. Connie's life was a testament to love, kindness, and cherished moments with family and friends. Educated and dedicated, Connie served as an afterschool coordinator for the Ashe County School System, where she touched the lives of many with her nurturing and supportive nature. Her commitment to education and the well-being of children evident in everything she did.

In her leisure time, Connie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves, finding excitement and camaraderie in watching their games. Solving word search puzzles, playing games on her phone, and indulging in shopping were among her favorite pastimes. However, nothing brought her more happiness than spending quality time with her beloved granddaughter and eagerly anticipating the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Maggie. Connie had a special fondness for cats, enjoyed bird watching, and cherished long phone conversations with her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. William Greer and Rev. Danny Osborne. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service.

Connie is survived by her son, William Stuart and wife Belinda of Lansing, brothers, Carl Stuart and wife Celia of Lincolnton and Scott Stuart and wife Sherry of Lansing, sisters-in-law, Shelby Stuart and Mary Stuart, granddaughter, Brittany Richardson and husband Wesley and great-granddaughter, Maggie Richardson.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
