Cora Stiddam

Cora Carpenter Stiddam, age 80 of West Jefferson died, Sunday, January 12, 2003 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stiddam was born February 22, 1922 in Ashe County to the late Floyd and Rosa Carpenter. Her husband, Worth Stiddam preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 14th at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bluford Eldreth, Rev. Ronda Rash and Rev. Roger Carpenter will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM prior to the service Tuesday night. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 16th in the Taylor Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Taylor Family Cemetery Fund c/o Clara Miller, 4944 East Little Horse Creek Rd., Lansing, NC 28643.

Two Daughters: Clara Miller of Lansing & Katherine Stiddam of West Jefferson

One Brother: Rev. General Carpenter of Creston

Two Sisters: Irene Poe of Kennett Square, PA & Volrea Miller of Lansing

4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 4 step-grandchildren
