Crissie Winebarger Lewis

Mrs. Crissie Winebarger Lewis, age 76 of Creston died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Margate Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson. Mrs. Lewis was born on June 9, 1939 in Creston to Conley and Alma Allen Winebarger. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bruce Ray Lewis, brothers, Enoch Winebarger and Avery Winebarger. Mrs. Lewis enjoyed sewing. She was a member of Pine Mountain Independent Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and a caregiver to her family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Pine Mountain Baptist Church by Brother Rector Henson. Burial will follow in the Jones-Lewis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Pine Mountain Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by: three sons, Jimmy Lewis of Lansing, Sampson Lewis and wife Angie of Lansing, Brian Lewis and wife Amanda of Creston; four brothers, J.C. Winebarger of West Jefferson, Marty Winebarger of Creston, Roy Winebarger of Creston, and Marion Winebarger of Creston; also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, c/o Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, 3470 U.S. Hwy. 221 North, Jefferson, NC 28640.
