View Kody's Video Tribute Dakota Austin Mullis, better known as Kody, age 17, of Lenoir, formerly of Crumpler, passed away Tuesday morning at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA as a result of injuries from an ATV accident in West Virginia. Kody was born December 20, 1993 in Watauga County to Robbie Mullis and Heather Scott Graham. Kody impacted the hearts and lives of his many friends and family with his witty personality and sweet smile. His passion since the age of four was 4-wheeling. He also enjoyed masonry, fishing, swimming and spending time with his girlfriend. He was loyal to his friends and family and would always give everything he had to help anyone. We take comfort in knowing that Kody is still living in other people since he chose to share part of himself with others who are in need. His heart is still beating and his lungs are allowing someone else to breathe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Billy Joe Blevins, Rev. Ken Furches & Rev. Brian Smith. Kody will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.
