Danny Ray Tedder, age 74 of Warrensville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center.   Born on November 10, 1949 to the late Charles Ray and Nellie Keene Tedder, Danny was a devoted husband, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, father in-law and friend to many. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, wife Linda Kay Greer Tedder and brother, Richard Charles "Dickie" Tedder. 

Danny's life was a symphony of love and joy, with music playing a central role. He had a beautiful singing voice and was a skilled guitarist, often sharing his talents with church groups. His devotion to his faith was evident through attendance at Warrensville Baptist Church.

A skilled carpenter by trade, Danny’s craftsmanship was admired by many. He was always ready to lend a hand, helping his children with remodeling projects and repairs around their homes. His dedication to his work and his willingness to assist his family with any project showcased his generous spirit and love for those close to him.

Fishing was another passion that Danny cherished, especially when it involved spending time with his children and grandchildren. These fishing trips were filled with laughter, stories, and the creation of lasting memories. Danny found great joy in the simple pleasures of life and treasured these moments spent with his loved ones.

Family was the cornerstone of Danny’s life. He was a devoted and supportive grandfather and great-grandfather, always making it a point to check in with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, ensuring they had a good day. His love and concern for his family were evident in every call, visit, and gesture of kindness. Danny was eagerly looking forward to the arrival of a new great-grandchild, a testament to his enduring love and excitement for his growing family.

Danny Ray Tedder leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and craftsmanship. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his dedication to his family, and his passion for life. 

He is survived by one son, Kevin Tedder (Lori) of Jefferson, one daughter, Sonya Tedder (Bobby) of Mtn. City, TN, three grandchildren, Andrew Tedder (Maegan), Skyler Richardson (Alex), and Brandon Tedder, one great-grandchild, Hank Richardson; and several nieces and nephews also survive who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, May 27, 2024 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Michael Greer and Rev. Jackie Stone.  Burial will follow in the Perry Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 pm prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Perry Cemetery Fund, ℅ Edward Sturgill, 155 Fees Branch Rd., Lansing, NC  28643.

Family and friends are welcome at the home of Kevin and Lori Tedder, 404 Sunnyside Park Road in Jefferson.

Danny’s song may have ended, but his melody will linger on in the hearts of those who loved him.
