Darrell Junior Roark

Mr. Darrell Junior Roark, age 74, of Creston, NC died on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mr. Roark was born on March 27, 1940 in Ashe County, NC to Furman Luther and Fay Price Roark. Mr. Roark was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Roark was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar. He enjoyed his life with the Lord. He is gone but not forgotten.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Rock Creek Baptist Church by Brother Rector Henson and Brother Anthony Roark. Burial will follow in the Roark Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Rock Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Roark is survived by: Wife, Ola Osborne Roark; Son, Gregory Roark and wife Shelley of Creston; Sister, Janice Mahala of Creston; Brothers, J E. Roark and Harold Dean Roark, both of Florida, and Jerold Roark of Mountain City, TN; Grandsons, Joshua Roark and Adam Roark; sisters-in-law, Zell Lewis and Maybell Price; brothers-in-law, Sherdin Osborne and Odell Osborne; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Rock Creek Baptist Church c/o Mary Roark, 760 Rock Creek Road, Creston, NC 28615.
