David McNeill

Mr. David Fields McNeill age 62, of Crumpler, NC died on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mr. McNeill was born on January 11, 1950 in Ashe County, NC to Doughton and Margaret Marsh McNeill. Mr. McNeill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Cline McNeill. Mr. McNeill retired as a road foreman from the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He enjoyed hunting and being outside until he became disabled.  Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. David Lyalls. Burial will follow in Pine Swamp Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.  Mr. McNeill is survived by: Daughter, Shannon Wallace of Warrensville, NC, Brother, Robert McNeill of Leesville, SC, Five Sisters, Charlotte Plummer of Cornelius, NC, Shelba Elliott of West Jefferson, Billie McNeill of Cornelius, NC, Mary Johnston of Greenville, SC, Nancy Brittain of Hickory, NC. Two Grandchildren, Dakota Wallace, Laken Wallace and one special little girl, Lexie. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
