Dawn Roark Staley age 57, of Lenoir, formerly of Ashe County, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Staley was born on December 30, 1955 in Ashe County to James Butler and Connie Brown Roark. Her hobbies included playing piano, crocheting, and crafts. She enjoyed camping, playing games, and Facebooking with family and friends. Mrs. Staley was a member of Narrow Way Baptist Church and attended Norcross Church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Pastor Johnny Hicks, Pastor Charlie Krump, and Pastor Keith Casey. Burial will follow in the Scott-Blevins Cemetery in Lansing.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Staley is survived by: Husband, Ronnie Stewart Staley Sr. of Lenoir; Son, Ronnie Staley Jr. of Lenoir; Daughter, Michelle Oakes of Lenoir; Parents, J.B. and Connie Roark of Crumpler; Brothers, Melvin Roark of Lansing, Ernie Roark of Boomer, and Ivan Roark of Ronda; Grandchildren, Tiffany Oakes, Emma Staley, Alex Staley, and Cole Staley, Great Grandchildren, Kylee Styles and Carter Styles; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
