Dean Carl Osborne

Mr. Dean Carl Osborne, age 87 of West Jefferson died on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Hickory Falls Nursing Home in Granite Falls. Mr. Osborne was born on March 15, 1928 in Lansing, NC to Arthur and Maggie Woody Osborne. Mr. Osborne was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Cloia Ellen Baker Osborne, second wife, Kathleen Miller Osborne, brothers and sisters, Roger, Velva, Garvey, Edna and Grace. Mr. Osborne worked for Thomasville Furniture. He always kept himself busy and enjoyed working on clocks, radios, and electronics. He was a member of Smethport Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Larry Shepherd and Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Osborne is survived by: Daughter, Cloia George of West Jefferson; Sister, Alma Jean Shepherd of West Jefferson; also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 226 2nd Street NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
