Delilah Kay Roten

Delilah Kay Roten age 66 of Clyde, NC passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Roten was born in Lenoir, NC on Tuesday, February 8, 1955. Delilah was preceded in death by her mother Eva Greer Elliott, her mom and dad, Georgie and Senter Jennings, siblings, Ishmael “Dale” Blevins, Dewey Jennings, Peggy Grimes and Geneva Royal.

Mrs. Roten is survived by: her husband, John Ben Roten, Jr., her siblings, Jolene Davis, Iva Dean Grimes, Allan Jennings, Lee Jennings, Linda Smoker, Deloris Smithey; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home in N. Wilkesboro. Rev. Steve Snipes officiated. The family received friends from 11:00-12:00 one hour prior to the service.

Graveside services were held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Sapp Cemetery in Creston. Rev. Rick Hurley officiated. Those wishing to follow in procession to the cemetery can meet at Riverview Community Center at 2:30pm.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 3:00 pm at James Chapel Baptist Church in Clyde, NC. Rev. Jeff Moore will officiate.
