Delma Goodman

Delma M. Goodman, age 70, of Fleetwood, NC, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at her home. Mrs. Goodman was born in Ashe County, NC on August 3, 1935 to the late Charlie and Nealie Ashley Miller.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at South Beaver Baptist Church. Rev. Lawrence Goodman and Rev. Johnny Goodman will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Goodman will lie in state from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family will receive friends anytime at Mrs. Goodman's home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Beaver Baptist Church, c/o David Ashley, P.O. Box 1560, West Jefferson, NC 28694.

Mrs. Goodman is survived by:

Husband: Kenneth Goodman.

Daughters: Carol Fairchild of West Jefferson, NC and Sherl Watson of Fleetwood, NC.

Sister: Geraldine Smith of Bel Air, Maryland.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
