Delmer Herman Jones

Delmer Herman Jones age 81 of Warrensville passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Ashe County on December 9, 1940 to the late Smith Aaron and Annie Ruth Turner Jones. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, two brothers, Bill Jones, Harold Jones, two sisters, Patsy Shaw, Suzie Lemly, one son, Terry Lee Jones and granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Jones. He was one of the founding members of the Fellowship Quartet and served as a deacon at Emmanuel Independent Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Pastor Jeff Brown and Pastor David Trivette. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 pm prior to he service at Ashelawn.

Mr. Jones is survived by: his wife: Stella Mae Mahaffey Jones, one son, Jerry and wife Donna Harless Jones of Warrensville, three brothers, Danny Jones of Virginia, Ronnie Jones of Tennessee and Walter Jones of  Warrensville, one sister, Martha Weaver of Warrensville, two grandchildren, Jason Harless Jones and Kayla Jones, one great-grandson, Nathan Anderson Duncan and several nieces and nephews also survive.
