Dennis Ray Osborne, Sr., age 76 of Creston, was born on November 11, 1947, to the late Clarence and Dora Campbell Osborne. He peacefully departed from this life on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in the comforting presence of his daughter and family at her home.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished wife, Minnie Beatrice Taylor Osborne. He is survived by his loving daughter, Caroline Parker and husband Stanley of Taylorsville, NC; son, Dennis Osborne, Jr. of Bethlehem; step-daughter, Tammy Schurter Roark and husband Ronnie of Zionville; sister, Ruby Richardson of Warrensville, daughter-in-law, Denise Osborne of Bethlehem; as well as grandchildren, Dezarae, Danielle, Ryan, Jasmine, Tristan, Gracie, Andrew, and great-grandchildren, Grayson, Gabriel, Donnie, Raelynn, Josie and Ellie.
Throughout his life, Dennis was deeply involved in his community. He played a significant role in Ashe Outreach Ministries and the Riverview Community Center. His passion for helping others and his commitment to community service touched the lives of many.
In his leisure time, Dennis found joy in remodeling homes, indulging in deep-sea fishing adventures, and most importantly, spending cherished moments with his daughter and grandchildren.
Funeral services to honor Dennis' life will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Keith Gilliam. Following the service, Dennis will be laid to rest in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Ashe Outreach Ministries, PO Box 157, Creston, NC 28615.
Dennis will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, generosity, and community spirit will forever endure in the hearts of those he touched.
