Mr. Denver Dale Coldiron, age 82, of Warrensville, NC, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Coldiron was born January 26, 1927 in Ashe County, NC to the late Eli and Clyde Davis Coldiron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Wyatt Coldiron, one brother, and two sisters. He attended Sugar Tree Baptist Church in Warrensville. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, woodworking, and the outdoors.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 8 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson, NC by Rev. Jim Greer, Rev. Jim Francis, and Rev. Denton Hart. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm prior to the service at Ashelawn. Burial will be held Friday at 11 am at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o June Weaver, P.O. Box 791, Jefferson, NC 28640.   Mr. Coldiron is survived by: His wife: Laura Virginia Coldiron. One son: Dean Eldreth of West Jefferson.      Six daughters: Sue Wiles, Carolyn Blevins, Sally Perry, Betty Lou Greer and Lynn Greer, all of Lansing; Becky Porter of Grassy Creek. Two stepsons: Jerry Lewis of Lansing, and Larry Lewis of Crumpler. Two stepdaughters: Linda Osborne of West Jefferson, and Nellie Storey of Butler, TN.   Three sisters: Marie Spears, Opal Welch, and Betty Jo Reece, all of Mountain City, TN.     Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Coldiron is also survived by special neighbors; Price and Lois Pennington, Gay and Henry Cook, and Mike Hartsog.  You may send and view condolences to the family through our website www.ashelawn.com. Ashelawn Memorial Chapel was entrusted with Mr. Coldiron's arrangements.
