Donald Wayne Howard

Donald Wayne Howard, age 81 of Lansing, passed away at his home on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was born on May 25, 1943, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to the late Rowland Howard and Evelyn Linke Howard. 

Mr. Howard served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a master carpenter and woodworker by trade. He enjoyed mowing his yard and working outside. He loved his cat Ruby and all animals.

Mr. Howard is survived by:  his beloved wife, Lyn Rae Dyrdahl Howard and two devoted daughters, Janet Howard Clark and Jackie Howard Schmidt, who will cherish the memories of him for years to come. He was also a proud grandfather to his two granddaughters, Kaylee Clark, and Katrina Clark, each of whom brought great joy to his life.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 1531 Idlewild Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694. 

The family would like to thank Angela and Medi Home Hospice for all the great care.

The legacy of Donald Wayne Howard will live on through the lives of his family. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
