Doris Woodruff

Doris Maxine Spencer Woodruff, age 83 of Jefferson, NC, died Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Segraves Care Center. Mrs. Woodruff was born January 15, 1923 in Ashe County to the late Caney and Bertha DeBoard Spencer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Van V. Woodruff. Mrs. Woodruff was a retired teacher of science and home economics.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 23, 2006 at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dan Little, Rev. Ken Morris and Martin Woodruff will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM prior to the service. The family requests no food please. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life or Ashe Memorial Hospital, Segraves Care Center, 200 Hospital Ave., Jefferson, NC 28640.
