Dorna Lewis

Dorna Lee Lewis, age 87 of Creston, died Saturday, May 21, 2004 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. lewis was born MArch 17, 1917 in Ashe County to the late Hobert and Ettie Roark. In addition to her parents, her husband, Bueal Lewis, a son, Harold Lewis and her step-father, Harrison Osborne preceded her in death. She was a member of Baptist Home Church in Creston.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Rev. David Benefield and Rev. Spencer Roark will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens, Thursday, May 27th at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26th prior to the funeral service.

Son: Jerry Ray Lewis of Creston, NC

Daughters: Betty Osborne of Creston, NC and Evelyn Woodward of Rutherfordton, NC

Stepson: Ottis Lewis of Mt. City, TN

12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
