Dorothy "Dot" Lee Ashley Cascadden, age 73 of West Jefferson, died Friday, May 7, 2004 at the Jefferson Care Center. Mrs. Cascadden was born March 18, 1931 in Ashe County to the late Mable Ashley Farmer. Her husband, Fred Cascadden, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Wagoner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 8th at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Cascadden is survived by:
Sisters: Dare Pennington of Independence, VA, Betty Absher and Bonnie Miller both of Wilkesboro, NC
Brother: Denver Farmer of Wilkesboro, NC
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
