Dorothy Lynn (Miller) Ham

Dorothy Lynn Miller Ham, age 60 of Lansing, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at her home after a brief illness.  Dorothy was born June 29, 1961 in Ashe County to the late Ernie and Dorene Miller.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by sisters, Shirley, Judy and Mary Miller, brother, Jimmy Miller and nephews, Stacey Richardson and Nathan Osborne.  Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.  She enjoyed being outdoors, mowing and playing with the kids.  She was fierce Easter egg hunter and always a joy to be around.  She was employed at United Chemi-Con.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Pennington Cemetery by Ministers Julian Owen and Danny Miller.

Mrs. Ham is survived by her husband, Kenny Ham, son, Jamie Ham and wife Heather of Troutdale, VA, sister, Betty Roten and husband Danny of Wilkesboro, brothers, Robert Miller and Doug Parsons and wife Christy all of Lansing and beloved granddaughter, Loralie Ham who called her Nana. Several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Pennington Cemetery c/o Kenny Ham, 997 Rip Shin Rd., Lansing, NC 28643.

The family would like to thank everyone who has been a part of Dorothy’s life these past few months for their thoughts, prayers, cards and gifts that helped make her life more at ease.  The family also thanks the heath care team at Ashe Memorial Hospital, especially Ashe Oncology, Kindred Home Care and Medi Home Hospice for their excellent care.
