Dorothy Dickinson Hansen

Dorothy Dickinson Hansen, age 93 of West Jefferson passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Hansen was born in Queens County, New York on November 11, 1929 to the late James and Lucy Torraville Dickinson.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hansen, son, Mark Hansen and grandson, Mark Martabano.

Dorothy moved to North Carolina in 2006 and loved living in Ashe County.  She was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, she also enjoyed water aerobics and loved puzzels.

Mrs. Hansen is survived by one son, Robert Hansen (Ellen) of New York, one daughter, Karen Martabano (Tom) of West Jefferson, two grandchildren, Michael Martabano of Raleigh and Christy Hansen of New York also survive.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 2:00pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Glendale Springs, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers donations of pet food may be made in Dorothy's honor at Randy Marion Ford in West Jefferson.
