Dorothy Ruth (Burchett) Hash Shepherd

Dorothy Ruth Hash Burchett Shepherd age 89 of Lansing died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her home.  Mrs. Shepherd was born January 31, 1932 to the late Herschel and Callie Haga Burchett.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Preston Hash Sr., second husband, Worth Shepherd, brother, Blaine Burchett, sister, Ruby Andrews and great-grandchild, Abigail Faith Jones.  Dorothy loved God and her family very much.  She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, watching birds and squirrels and attending church.

Funeral services will be private.  Mrs. Shepherd will lie in state from 12:00 – 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Badger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shepherd is survived by one son, James Hash and wife Linda of Sparta, three daughters, Rachel Wolfe and husband Ralph of Statesville, Wilma Barker and Eva Louise Jones and husband Jerry all of Lansing, and one half-sister, Rita Betish of Pennsylvania. 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
