Douglas Chester Banks

Douglas Chester Banks, age 75 of Creston, NC died Monday, November 11, 2019 at his home.  Mr. Banks was born May 15, 1944 in Ashe County to Chester and Ethel Johnson Banks.  He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Banks and his father, Chester Banks.  Douglas loved to fish and hunt in his spare time. He retired from United Chemi-Con after 36 years of service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 15, 2019 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Stephens and Rev. James Henson.  Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Banks is survived by, his wife, Peggy Roark Banks, his mother, Ethel Johnson Banks, brothers, Boyd Banks and wife, Margie and Roger Banks and wife Susan all of Creston and John Banks and wife Jane of West Jefferson, special great niece "his pal", Maranda Banks. Several nieces, nephews, brothers in-law and sisters in-law also survive .
